This theme park by Walt Disney was inaugurated in the year of 1955 at 1313 South Harbor Blvd. The theme park is presently owned and operated by Walt Disney, the founder of this theme park. Disneyland comprises of various areas each with a separate theme to it such as an early 20th century Midwest town, jungle adventures, the Western frontier, fantasy, and the future. The respective names of these separate areas would be Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.

Three more areas were added to these existing areas and the names of these areas would be New Orleans Square, Mickey’s Toontown, and Critter Country. The rides of Disneyland attract people of all age group. Since the inauguration of the park in the year of 1955, this place has been frequented by more than 515 million.
Disneyland was renamed Disneyland Park in the year of 1998 in order to distinguish it from the Disneyland Resort complex. Walter Disney spoke about Disneyland in July 17, 1955 saying “To all who come to this happy place-welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.
Disneyland is dedicated to the ideas, dreams and the hard facts that have created America. …with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. Thank you.” This is what Walt Disney, the founder of Disneyland felt about his own creation which stands tall in today’s world evoking a sense of joy and amusement to people of all age group from all across the world. The concept of building this theme park came to Walt Disney’s mind when he went on a visit to Griffith Park with his two daughters.
